Beyoncé Is the First Black Woman to Wear the Iconic Tiffany Yellow Diamond

Beyoncé has become the first black woman to wear the iconic 128-carat yellow Tiffany Diamond, in a new Tiffany ad campaign with her husband Jay-Z.

The diamond was mined in South Africa in 1877, and only a handful of people have ever worn it, including Lady Gaga and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” star Audrey Hepburn.

Tiffany’s says, “Beyoncé and Jay-Z are the epitome of the modern love story.  As a brand that has always stood for love, strength and self-expression, we could not think of a more iconic couple that better represents Tiffany’s values.”

The campaign will include a short film shot in old-school Super 8, featuring Beyoncé’s version of “Moon River”, a song from the “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” soundtrack.
