With the custody battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt raging on, Angelina launched another bomb this weekend, saying Brad worked with Harvey Weinstein, even though he knew Harvey once attacked her.
In an interview promoting her new book, Angelina says the alleged assault happened when Angelina was working with Harvey on the 1998 movie “Playing by Heart”. She didn’t give details, but she said, “It was beyond a pass, it was something I had to escape.”
Angelina says she never worked with Harvey again, and warned other people about him. She even told her husband at the time, Jonny Lee Miller, to tell other guys not to let women be alone with Harvey.
But after hooking up with Angelina, and knowing the story, Brad worked with Harvey TWICE. He asked Harvey to produce his 2012 movie “Killing Them Softly”, and also starred in the Tarantino flick “Inglourious Basterds” for the Weinstein Company. Angelina says, “It was hard for me when Brad [worked with Weinstein]. We fought about it. Of course it hurt.”
Now, you may recall that in 2017, Gwyneth Paltrow revealed that she had a run-in with Weinstein back in the ’90s, and Brad confronted him, because they were dating at the time. He told Harvey to never touch Gwyneth again.
Weinstein’s assistant has denied that there was ever an assault or an attempted assault on Angelina, and claims this is all just meant to drum up publicity for Angelina’s book, which is about the rights of minors. It’s called “Know Your Rights and Claim Them: A Guide for Youth”.
In the same interview, Angelina said she chose to leave Brad because she was scared for her family. “I’m not the kind of person who makes decisions like the decisions I had to make lightly. It took a lot for me to be in a position where I felt I had to separate from the father of my children.”
