William Shatner is going to ride Jeff Bezos’ rocket into orbit next month. And he’ll film his flight aboard the Blue Origin rocket for a documentary.
At 90 years old, that’ll make him the oldest person ever to go to space. The previous record was just set back in July, when 82-year-old Wally Funk rode Bezos’ giant phallic-shaped ship.
Obviously, all your “Star Trek” “where no man has gone before” jokes are valid here. But one website pointed out another interesting angle: Shatner will be the first WWE Hall of Famer in space.
And this comes after we’ve also had a WWE Hall of Famer as our president. We live in interesting times, my friends.
