NBC has reportedly tapped Miley Cyrus to host this year’s New Year’s Eve special, with “SNL”  boss Lorne Michaels producing.

This still isn’t official, but sources say the celebration will emanate from several cities over the course of the evening.  There’s talk that Miley could host it from Miami, rather than New York City, which is a more traditional locale.

Carson Daly has hosted NBC’s New Year’s celebrations since 2004, with the exception of 2016.  There’s no word if he’ll be involved this year.
