There’s a Petition to Change the Name of Lee County Florida to BRUCE Lee County

This is how you stamp out bigotry, my friends:  With a swift roundhouse kick to the face!  Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Someone started a petition to change the name of Lee County, Florida to Bruce Lee County, Florida.  (!!!)

In addition to just being awesome, it also serves a purpose.  Lee County is named after confederate general Robert E. Lee. who, you know, fought against the United States government for the South’s right to keep owning slaves.

The petition says the name change would, “continue the battle to eradicate racism in the United States.”

It also noted that Bruce, “bridged the gap between East and West,” and helped to “change the way Asians were presented in American films.”
