Five Random Facts for Monday

Here are some random facts for you.

1.  There are approximately 10.3 million barrels of bourbon currently aging in the state of Kentucky.  That’s more than TWICE the population of Kentucky, which is about 4.5 million.

2.  The Cap’n Crunch character was created by a guy named Allan Burns.  He also worked on “Rocky and Bullwinkle”, and co-created “The Munsters” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”.  He passed away in January at 85.

3.  The word “phony” comes from “telephone”, since early phones had such bad audio quality, it made people’s voices sound fake.

4.  Roughly two-thirds of the U.S. population lives within 100 miles of one of the country’s borders.

5.  And 90% of the Canadian population lives within 100 miles of the U.S. border.
