Savannah Guthrie started off yesterday’s “Today” show like any other, but by 7:30, she was GONE. She wasn’t feeling well, so they gave her a COVID test and it came back positive.
Co-host Sheinelle Jones said, “As soon as we found out [the results], she rushed home to rest up. So Savannah, we love you, wishing you a speedy recovery.”
Then Al Roker said, “Luckily, Sheinelle was sitting between me and Savannah.”
Meanwhile, Hoda Kotb has been missing from the show since February 17th, and nobody’s saying where she is.
She’s still posting on Instagram, but nothing personal. Just inspirational messages about “choosing hope”, “Strong women”, “good people with kind hearts”, stuff like that.
(Here’s a clip of Savannah before she had to leave. And here’s the team addressing her absence.)
