A Man Drove Off with an Airport Bus, and Took an Hour-Long Joyride

If you steal a white Nissan Rogue in New York City, it might take the cops several hours to track you down.  If you steal a gigantic airport shuttle, it will only take them, well, maybe an hour?

A 43-year-old man was arrested in New York early yesterday morning, after he stole an American Airlines employee bus from JFK Airport.  It was left unattended and idling somewhere, so it was an easy target.

There was no one else on the bus, and it was the middle of the night, but the guy was able to drive it all the way to Manhattan, which is about 20 miles from the airport, before the cops finally closed in on him and pulled him over.

They say he was arrested “without incident”, so there wasn’t overly-dramatic Sandra Bullock / Keanu Reeves-style bus theatrics.

The cops also said that he has 10 previous arrests on his record, but this is the first time he’s stolen an American Airlines bus.
