Five Random Facts for Wednesday

Here are some random facts for you.

1.  “Sinister” comes from a Latin word meaning “on the left side.”  It’s a remnant of the outdated association between left-handed people and wickedness.

2.  Wearing a tin foil hat doesn’t block radio frequencies, it actually amplifies them.

3.  The emergency phone number in South Korea is 112 for a crime, 119 for a fire, and 113 if you want to report a SPY.

4.  The first person to have a number one hit after they died was Otis Redding with  “Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay”.  It was released and hit number one in January of 1968, a month after he died in a plane crash.

5.  The word “onesie” is trademarked by Gerber, and they go after companies that use it instead of generic alternatives like “infant bodysuit.”
