Five Random Facts for Friday

Here are some random facts for you.

1.  As of 2021, 41% of Americans ages 12 and older have listened to a podcast in the past month.  That’s up from 37% the year before, and just 9% in 2008.  That suggests the number could be around 50% now.  And, 28% of people 12 and older said they’ve listened to one in the past WEEK.

2.  Pete Buttigieg was the 287th person to sign up for Facebook.  He was an undergrad at Harvard at the same time as Mark Zuckerberg and signed up with Facebook when it was only available to the students there.

3.  The guy who created the “Baby on Board” signs made millions from them, and doesn’t have kids.

4.  Aviator sunglasses were created by Bausch & Lomb in the 1930s for the U.S. Army Air Corps.

5.  Bedbugs are almost 100 million years old, which means they were around at the same time as dinosaurs.
