The Royal Family Can’t Sign Autographs . . . Here’s Why

Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton attended a picnic with 100 elementary school kids at a flower show on Monday.  And some of them asked for her autograph.

She told them, “I can’t write my name, but I can draw.”  And she proceeded to draw little pictures for the kids.

When asked why she couldn’t sign, she said, “I’m not allowed to write my signature, it’s just one of those rules.”

Kate wasn’t lying.  That IS a rule, and there IS a reason for it.  Members of the Royal Family don’t sign autographs so that no one can forge their signatures.  Now you know.
